We undertake family law matters including the following:

  • Pre-nuptial agreements
  • divorce
  • division of property
  • issues around children including access and care arrangements
  • domestic violence and its aftermath
  • health care
  • education issues

Our preferred approach to all matters We can also act for clients in criminal matters and in deportation cases following through mediation by enabling people to listen to and understand their different viewpoints and reach an agreement which best meets the needs of everyone concerned.

Soli Osman is able to provide mediation services in a range of different contexts and is a trained mediator. In addition we have access to high quality professional mediation services with a wealth of experience particularly in the area of community disputes. These can be used in family, community, commercial and litigation areas and in many cases to avoid much higher legal and court costs as well as endeavouring to reach an outcome that is satisfactory to all parties.

Unfortunately sometimes these efforts are not enough and a case may progress to court. We are able to act on your behalf for matters in County Courts and for disputes which in most instances we will endeavour to settle out of court.

We act for a number of charities both in their development, including developing Aims and Objectives, draftomg Constitution, appointment of Trustees, roles and responsibilities of officers and registration with the Charities Commission. We also work with community groups and endeavour to help them resolve disputes at an early stage both within the community and between communities.

We can also act for clients in criminal matters and in deportation cases following conviction.

We act in some employment matters such as discrimination, unfair dismissal and redundancy matters.

We can also undertake work in a variety of different areas – PLEASE ASK. We offer consultation sessions of up to one hour at low cost when we will review your case, including any relevant papers and can offer general advice. If it is an area we practice in and we are able to act for you we will then provide you with a Client Care letter setting out our terms and conditions and the course of action we advise. We provide you with up to date quotations on costs at each stage. If it is an area in which we do not feel we have sufficient expertise to act for you we will then recommend another firm to you. Sometimes we are able to recommend expert Counsel who are able to accept direct access from clients.
